Youth Group
Wednesday night activities begin in the fall and go throughout the entire school year. Wednesday evenings happen here at Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church in the MPR (gym) from 6:30-8pm.
Wednesday nights are a great place to connect with other teens and leaders who desire to explore and discover the truths of who God is and who he desires us to be. We typically start Wednesday evening youth group with some music and worship. A large portion of the time on Wednesday evenings is spent in Cluster Groups, which are volunteer led discussion groups on topics and issues that are relevant to the group. Another chunk of time is spent in a lesson focused on learning more about our Creator.
This year we are focusing on the question “Are you plugged in?” This theme relies on the core values of growing in God and sharing about God. To accomplish this, we will provide time for cluster groups to form an identity that is meaningful to everyone in the group. The goal is to develop such a strong identity that youth will feel comfortable sharing and growing together.
Sunday Morning Classes
We also offer classes on Sunday mornings during the second worship service, which begins at 10:30 AM. There are 5 options available to InsideOut students. Choose which is best for you.
Room 113: 66 Love Letters (Crux and Inside Out)
This class will be going through the book 66 Love Letters, which looks at every book in the Bible and shows us how meaningful and powerful God’s word can be. This is a great opportunity to look at the Bible in a way you have never seen it before.
Room 112: Bible Study & World Religions (Crux and Inside Out)
This class will be doing 2 things. First we will read together the Gospel of Luke, learning as we go through it about how Jesus lived and who Jesus was. Then we will also be looking at the religions of the world, what they believe, and how they are similar to and different than Christianity.
Room 105: Bible Quizzing (Crux and Inside Out)
This class studies a book of the Bible (Hebrews, 1 and 2 Peter) and competes in competition amongst peers to see who knows the material best.
Room 104 & 111: Conversation, Connection and Discussion (Inside Out only)
This class will be following a video curriculum focused on living out faith in practical ways. This is a great opportunity to talk with others who are focused on practically living out their faith in everyday circumstances.
